Introducing in-depth 1:1 Career Mentoring program for TU international students
What is the 1:1 mentorship program?
The one-on-one career mentoring program is a very different type of program, one of which you have never experienced before. It’s a tailor-made in-depth mentoring program where you can discuss your own career-related cases with seasoned professionals..
What topics might be covered in the mentoring program with professors?
Any type of career-related topics you might want to discuss.
Here are some key modules:
- Career development strategy and following required actions in general
- Job documents clinic - Resume (English/Korean), Cover letter (English), Biography for job applications (English/Korean)
- Job interview clinic and rehearsal
- Strategy and key steps for Korean job placement
- Strategy and key steps for Multinational corporation job placement
- Basic concept development for building your own business
Why are we going to roll out this program?
More international students are studying at Tongmyong University than ever before. At the same time, local and global companies and the work market are looking for qualified talents. However, career-related programs for international students are not yet fully effective. We believe this is an area that deserves more attention than ever in terms of helping international students succeed, which is why we’ve created this program.

It’s very easy. You can apply for the mentoring through the QR code or link. We will come back to you ASAP to confirm your meeting request.
How long does the career mentoring session take?
Usually, you'll have one mentoring session with a professor, with a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 45 minutes. Upon your request, you can have another round of mentoring session.
Which professor will be responsible for this mentoring?

When and where will this program take place?
This will primarily take place in the annex meeting room of the Co-working Space (room 302, Building 17).
We will be conducting this career mentoring every Wednesday afternoon, on a weekly basis.
But, with some flexibility, the schedule is subject to change depending on the number of the students applying and each party’s availability, and it will be communicated to you accordingly.
